THE IMPACT OF FOG COMPUTING IN DATA CENTERS

The main business of SAKURA Internet Inc. is the data center business.  However, in anticipation of an enormous increase in data volume by “Fourth Industrial Revolution,” SAKURA has found business opportunities in this trend and has been in recent years broadening its business scope to new fields, such as IoT, AI, and cloud.  The environment surrounding data centers has significantly changed in the last ten years.  The history of IT is repetition of the age of intensive processing and the age of distributive processing.  To foresee the future, discussions will address issues and ramifications relating to the impacts of IoT, fog computing, and cloud on the data center market.
