POWER OPTIMIZATION OF DATA CENTER BY USING FPGA

The employment of FPGA for data centers has been increasing, as can be seen in the examples of Microsoft of the United States and BAIDU of China.  The reason for this increase is FPGA’s excellent performance as an accelerator and its high-power consumption reduction effect.  In addition, the development environment where programmers with no hardware design experience can perform programing for FPGA is almost completed.  In this program, examples of FPGA application and Intel’s latest endeavors for the development environment will be introduced.

(Intel Programmable Solutions Group) 早稲田大学大学院ナノ理工学専攻卒。半導体のアナログ設計・デジタル設計を経て、2012年日本アルテラ株式会社（インテル プログラマブル・ソリューションズ事業本部）入社。顧客製品の立ち上げにおける技術サポートや、消費電力削減に対するコンサルティングを担当。2015年からはデータセンター・ビジネス・ディベロップメント・マネージャーとして、FPGAのデータセンター等での採用拡大に従事。
