The Green Grid Singapore Work Group Participates in Local Activities
In September and October 2016, The Green Grid Singapore Work Group gained measurable momentum from its participation at events held in Singapore.
The GREEN GRID FORUM SINGAPORE – 13 September, 2016
The Singapore Work Group utilized DatacenterDynamics Converged SE Asia, an integral part of the Singapore Data Center Week 2016, to conduct a regional Forum at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. Nearly 50 current and prospective members attended the event.
Mark Fenton, a participant from a contributor member company, presented the Performance Indicator, while alternate Board Member Rob Bunger introduced the Open Standard for Data Center Availability (OSDA) and Jose Castaneda, from another board member company, shared progress on the ongoing Tropical Data Center Cooling Calculator project.
Data Center World Cloud Asia – 12-13 October, 2016
Marina Bay Sands hosted more than 9,000 attendees at a two-day conference, where the Singapore Work Group leveraged the large audience to build awareness and engage potential members. Surendran Vangadasalam, a participant from one of The Green Grid’s board member companies, presented the Performance Indicator in the DCWA Energy Efficiency Theatre.
Another active participant from a board member company, Chang Tsann, presented at the CNet Training Educational Theatre.
Other Singapore Work Group News
The Singapore Work Group has numerous projects underway relevant to the local geography, including contributing to Singapore Government IMDA Tropical Green Data Center initiatives while Jose Castaneda leads the ongoing Tropical Data Center Cooling Calculator project.
