This week, Cisco launched Cisco Intersight, a new intelligent, cloud-based management and analytics platform for Cisco UCS and HyperFlex systems. It will provide substantial operational advantages for IBM and Cisco’s VersaStack solutions that utilize Cisco UCS infrastructure.

The new UCS management platform demonstrates how innovation benefits both customers and partnerships. IBM and Cisco have maintained an important, ongoing collaboration spanning more than 15 years and thousands of shared customers. The industry giants have worked together since 2014 to develop and market VersaStack solutions. Because it’s an extension of the Cisco UCS system, the capabilities and intelligence of Cisco Intersight will be available in all VersaStack solutions.

VersaStack combines the Cisco UCS server, networking and management elements with IBM’s award-winning FlashSystem and Storwize all-flash storage arrays and IBM Spectrum Storage software. These integrated systems address a wide range of infrastructure requirements and challenges – from hybrid and private cloud architectures, through simplified IT modernization and virtualization, to powerful VDI and remote office solutions.
