2013 Forum – ASHRAE and The Green Grid Looking Forward
The industry has seen a considerable, disruptive change in recent years, essentially seeking to “leap frog” itself in how it delivers value in every sector it serves.
Exascale computing, big data, "energy aware computing", software defined networking (SDN), open platform, and an increased focus by governmental bodies on the energy opportunity are examples of how the pace of change is accelerating globally. Disruptive change inherently creates opportunity, risk, and the lack of guidelines and baselines. This is a challenge for people, companies, governments, and organizations.
Looking forward, what should ASHRAE and The Green Grid’s collaborative relationship look like as these two organizations support the desired “leap-frog affect” the industry is driving? Does this mean more disruptive change for these organizations as well? Join the conversation as ASHRAE and The Green Grid explore how they independently and jointly address the changes before us!
