This session offers an in-depth review of the eBay Digital Service Efficiency (DSE) methodology. DSE is eBay's MPG for technical infrastructure. DSE connects technical infrastructure performance to top-level business metrics by measuring the key variables of revenue, cost, performance, and environmental impact based on user consumption of services provided. In addition, DSE tunes the infrastructure engine by identifying the knobs that can be adjusted at all levels, as well as optimizes effectiveness by striking a balance between the interconnected variables.
